Alëna Shornikova is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Cologne. She graduated in 2012 from the Moscow College of Arts, majoring in Dance, and also studied Theater Directing at the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts.
In 2013, Alëna moved to Germany to further pursue her dance career. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Cologne University of Music and Dance and a Master of Arts in Dance Composition (Interpretation) from the Folkwang University of Arts (2021).
In 2018, she was awarded a scholarship for an internship with the Vertigo Dance Company in Israel.
Alëna has performed, collaborated, and trained with a diverse range of artists, including Kosro Adibi, Dafi Altabeb, Noa Wertheim, Adi Sha’al, Keren Bigon Horesh, Inbal Aloni Debi, Yael Cibulski, Didier Theron, Michèle Murray, Sita Ostheimer, Rodolfo Leoni, Henrietta Horn, and Ale Jara.
As a dancer, she has worked with the Cologne Opera (2016–2018), TdK Düsseldorf (2019), and Theater Marl (2021), among others, performing both nationally and internationally.
In 2022, she began a collaboration with classical composer Bomi Hwang.
Today, Alëna works as a freelance dancer, engaging in projects with various artists across Germany and abroad.

Alëna Shornikova ist eine multidisziplinäre Künstlerin, die derzeit in Köln lebt.
2012 schloss sie ihr Studium an der Moskauer Hochschule der Künste mit dem Hauptfach Tanz ab.
Darüber hinaus studierte sie Theaterregie an der Moskauer Universität für Kultur und Kunst.
2013 zog Alëna nach Deutschland, wo sie ihre Tanzreise fortsetzte.
Alëna hat einen Bachelor of Fine Arts an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln und ihren Master in Tanzkomposition (Interpretation) an der Folkwang Universität der Künste 2021 absolviert.
2018 erhielt sie ein Stipendium für ein Internship in der Vertigo Dance Company in Israel.
Alena hat mit KünstlerInnen wie Kosro Adibi, Dafi Altabeb, Noa Wertheim, Adi Sha’al, Keren Bigon Horesh, Inbal Aloni Debi, Yael Cibulski, Didier Theron, Michèle Murray, Sita Ostheimer, Rodolfo Leoni, Henrietta Horn, Ale Jara, Reut Shemesh zusammengearbeitet.
Als Tänzerin hat sie unter anderem für die Kölner Oper (2016-2018), das TdK Düsseldorf (2019) und das Theater Marl (2021) getanzt.
Alena ist sowohl in ihrem Heimatland als auch international aufgetreten.
Im Jahr 2022 entstand eine Kollaboration mit der klassischen Komponistin Bomi Hwang.
Zurzeit arbeitet Alëna als Freelance Tänzerin mit unterschiedlichen Künstler: innen sowohl in Deutschland als auch im Ausland zusammen.
